Have you Ever looked down and see miles of Snow? Well its like this all the time in Finland.(Well most of the time) Coming into land made most of use feel unesasy on the very slippy ice, Then going into the terminal to see our to-be host family. Introductions were never my thing and still arn't so it was very awkward trying to indroduce myself.
Well that time went very fast and soon we were loading our baggage into the back of their car and on the way to their house. Then to my surprise we ended up outside one of the biggest and nicest looking houses ive ever seen.
Than night was awkward because of the small time difference and we weren't very tired. but that night slowely passed and the morning was slowely among us.
We were given a yellow ticket that we had to keep safe until the end of our time here which was our bus ticket. We walked out of the warm house and into the cold and started our journey to the /*bus stop. Well it wasn't too far but it was hard to adapt to the conditions. We got to the station and the bus arrived quite fast.
School. Not a place that i want to be back at after im already missing one week of it. But that day was very good watching how the students did their lessons. It was scary because everyone stared at us( including Henri) who looked at use as if we were stupid. That day finished and we were soon on the way back home.
Tuesday. Going to the Avantosauna. Pretty nice when your running out of the burning hot and into a freezing lake. It was fun watching Henri keep pouring water onto the coal. We also practised snow football and "throwing the boot" (saappaanheitto) and the hot chocolate really made my day. Bed again.
Wednesday. Koli-day was probabaly the best day that we' ve had all week. Downhill Skiing. Very hard but very Fun. Even Though Connor Hurt his leg we still had a very enjoyable day. On the Chair lift coming down the view was amaizing. We then watched a show on how lake Höytiäinen was in Finland.
Thursday. Biathalon day. How can you have soo much fun skiing in straight lines it is unknown to me. But Doing it was very fun. We nearly won snow football but we came 2nd.....
