I am a very fussy eater. I don't like sausages, hamburgers, fish or most vegetables, so i was dreading coming to Germany and having to live on chocolate and crisps bought out of a vending machine. However, when I first visited the Mensa cafeteria, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did I eat the food available there, but I enjoyed it too!! And I have enjoyed it every day since. Also, i have been trying many new flavours and sauces that I never would have in England. I think that this is very very good, because it will give me confidence next time I think i will not like to eat something. I also tried the infamous schnitzel (pork in batter) and i enjoyed it very much. It was flavoured with garlic and parmesan and I found it very funny watching a German trying to explain what garlic was!! I thÃnk that the best test of good German food was when I went to my host Anna's house. Her mother made us some dinner, and although we (Rachel went with me) didn't know which meat we were eating, we enjoyed it immensely, and this causes me to give a thumbs up (Y) to German food!!!
